About JAY

We are the Jain Association of Youth.

A youth-led organisation in Nokha, Rajasthan. No office, no staff, no overheads — just people who decided the community deserved better than waiting.

Who we are

Why JAY exists

Nokha is a town of a few tens of thousands in Bikaner district. Its Jain community is close, generous, and well-organised — and, like many small towns, it has spent decades watching interesting things happen somewhere else.

The Jain Association of Youth was formed by young people who decided to bring those experiences closer to home. Everything on this site — every fixture list, permission letter, certificate, banner, and prize — was arranged by volunteers from within the community, balancing it all alongside their studies and careers.

We are not a formal charity or an events company. We are simply a group of people from one town who believe Nokha should be vibrant and engaging for the next generation, and who are willing to put in the hard work to make it happen.

Message from our founder

Rajat Jain, founder of Jain Association of Youth, speaking at a JAY event

Growing up, I always imagined a platform where the Jain community could come together beyond everyday routines — a place to connect, participate, celebrate our culture, and create memories through sports, arts, and shared experiences.

That vision became the foundation of Jain Association of Youth (JAY).

What began as a vision for the youth has grown into something much bigger: a platform that brings generations together. From children as young as four to adults in their seventies, JAY creates opportunities for everyone to participate, discover new interests, build meaningful connections, and celebrate the values that unite us.

For me, JAY has never been just about organizing events. It is about building a stronger, more connected community — one where traditions are carried forward, friendships are formed, talents are nurtured, and every generation feels a sense of belonging.

As we continue to grow, our vision remains simple: to bring people closer, create experiences that matter, and build a legacy of togetherness for generations to come.

Because a community grows stronger when its people grow together.

What we believe

Youth-led, genuinely

JAY is organised and run by young people from Nokha. The planning, the fixtures, the permissions, the clean-up at the end — all of it.

Rooted in Jain values

Everything we run is shaped by the principles the community already lives by: restraint, respect, service, and valuing every individual.

Open to every age

Our events are deliberately built so that juniors, youth, and elders are all in the same place on the same day. That is the best part.

Small town, no excuses

A certified coach, a professional range, a speaker from Bangalore — held in a town of this size because nobody here accepted that it could not be.

Where we work

Sport

Championships and training camps that put the whole town on one field — and teach the discipline that shows up long after the medals are put away.

Learning

Camps and workshops in art, craft, technology and communication, taught by mentors who live here and stay reachable afterwards.

Culture

Contests and gatherings that keep Jain principles, scripture and festivals alive as something young people actively choose, not merely inherit.

Community

Events built so that a four-year-old and a seventy-year-old end up in the same room, on the same day, cheering for the same thing.
