A celebration of tradition — not merely a competition.
The story
Kaun Banega Dharm Dhurandhar is JAY's Jain religious knowledge competition — जैन धार्मिक ज्ञान प्रतियोगिता — staged with the pacing and showmanship of a television quiz show, and taken every bit as seriously by the people in the chairs.
Teams compete across rounds drawn from a wide spread of subjects: Jain principles and philosophy, scripture, history, festivals and the lives of the Tirthankaras. The questions are demanding enough that contestants prepare for weeks, and families end up revising together at home — which is quietly the entire point.
The brochure frames it best: प्रतिस्पर्धा नहीं, परंपरा का उत्सव — not a competition, but a celebration of tradition. It closes with a formal prize distribution honouring the winners for their knowledge, preparation and dedication.
