About JAY

What is the full form of JAY?

JAY stands for Jain Association of Youth — a youth-led, volunteer-run community organisation of the Jain community in Nokha, Bikaner district, Rajasthan. You will see both names used: JAY for short, and Jain Association of Youth in full.

What is the Jain Association of Youth?

Jain Association of Youth (JAY) is a youth-led community organization based in Nokha, Rajasthan, driven entirely by volunteers. We bring young people together to create meaningful experiences and initiatives across sports, culture, education, and community development.

Through our events and activities, JAY aims to encourage participation, nurture talent, build connections, and contribute positively to the Jain community and the wider town of Nokha.

Who can take part in JAY initiatives?

JAY initiatives are open to Jain community members of all ages, depending on the program. From Junior, Youth, and Senior categories in Jain Olympics to children-focused activities at UMANG and open-to-all leadership and knowledge sessions, there’s something for everyone.

Where do your events take place?

In and around Nokha, Bikaner district, Rajasthan — 334803. Venues include local grounds, halls, Terapanth Bhawan at Mahaveer Chowk, Govindam Hotel and the First Trigger Shooting Academy at Marothi Chowk.

How is JAY funded?

Through community contributions and event partners. JAY is volunteer-run, so support goes directly into grounds, equipment, mentors, certificates and prizes.

How can a business partner with JAY?

Four ways to work with us are set out on the Partner page — back an initiative, build a new one with us, have us run one for your own people, or bring something we have not thought of. Write to connect@jainyouth.org or message @jay.organisation on Instagram to start a conversation.

How do I hear about the next event?

Instagram is where everything is announced first — @jay.organisation for JAY as a whole, and @jainolympics for the championship.

Jain Olympics

Who can take part in Jain Olympics?

The championship is open to the Jain community across age groups, with separate categories for juniors, youth and seniors so that everyone competes on a fair field.

Which sports are included?

Our own event, designed for family members to compete together as one team. It is a 200-metre relay run in three categories: mother and daughter, father and son, and husband and wife.

How do I register?

Registration and the official brochure are announced on Instagram — follow @jainolympics and @jay.organisation ahead of each edition.

Is there a prize ceremony?

Yes. The championship closes with a formal award ceremony where medals and trophies are presented to winners across every category.

Can I come only to watch?

Absolutely. The crowd is a large part of what makes the event work. Spectators are welcome across all match days.

Kaun Banega Dharm Dhurandhar

What topics do the questions cover?

Jain principles and philosophy, scripture, history, festivals and the lives of the Tirthankaras. Guidance on scope is shared with contestants when they register.

Who can participate?

The contest is open across age groups, with the format arranged so that students and elders can both compete meaningfully.

Is it played in teams?

Yes — the format is built around teams competing across rounds, which is what gives the contest its atmosphere.

How should contestants prepare?

Registered contestants receive guidance on the topic areas. Most prepare with family, which is half the fun and, quietly, half the point.

Is there a prize ceremony?

Yes. A formal prize distribution honours the winners for their knowledge, preparation and dedication.

Umang

What ages is Umang for?

The camp is designed for school-age children and teenagers. Groups are arranged by age so that each module suits the level of the children in it.

The 2026 edition ran from 17 to 23 May at Terapanth Bhawan, Mahaveer Chowk, Nokha. Dates for future editions are announced on Instagram.

What will my child actually learn?

Six modules: art classes, sketch art, brush calligraphy, crochet, yoga, and an introduction to AI. Children rotate through all of them across the week.

Is there a certificate?

Yes — every child completing the camp receives a certificate of participation, presented at the closing ceremony.

Who teaches the sessions?

Mentors and volunteers from the JAY community, each leading the module they know best.
